Sign Attachment Review Tool
Preliminary wind and dead-load hardware screening, plus electrical and energy-code scope identification.
Use limitation: Fastener capacities are draft values supplied for screening, not verified manufacturer allowable loads. This calculator divides total wind and dead load by the selected nominal capacity. It does not verify anchor group effects, edge distance, spacing, substrate failure, embedment, prying, bracket geometry, load combinations, or a complete CBC Chapter 16 design. Project-specific engineering and product data may be required.
1. Sign and attachment inputs
20 psf is the approximate screening pressure from the supplied note (q ≈ 16 psf × GC ≈ 1.25), intended only for flush-mounted signs with shallow projection. Enter a project-specific pressure where the approximation is not applicable.

3. Electrical and energy-code requirements
The energy-code form reference is the current NRCC-LTS-E sign-lighting Certificate of Compliance for the 2025 Energy Code. Confirm the applicable code cycle and whether the sign lighting is within scope before requiring the form.
