1. Scope of work

2. Likely forms based on selected work

Only results matching the selected work appear below. CF1R forms are shown where applicable. CF2R installation forms are shown only for scopes where this finder does not identify an applicable CF1R. Confirm the path against the project conditions and current CEC instructions.

Glazing / fenestration replacement or addition
CF1R-ALT-05-E - Prescriptive Residential Alterations - non-ECC Certificate of Compliance
CF1R-ALT-01-E - Prescriptive Residential Alterations - registered ECC Certificate of Compliance

The CF1R alteration form includes the fenestration/glazing compliance sections. The non-ECC and registered ECC paths are alternatives, not forms that are automatically all required together.

Duct alterations - 25 feet or less
CF1R-ALT-05-E - Prescriptive Residential Alterations - non-ECC Certificate of Compliance

The 2025 CF1R-ALT-05 instructions identify less than 25 feet of added or replaced ducts as a possible exemption from duct leakage field verification. Confirm all applicable exceptions and conditions.

Duct alterations - more than 25 feet
CF1R-ALT-02-E - Prescriptive Alterations to Space Conditioning Systems - registered ECC Certificate of Compliance
CF3R-MCH-20-H - Duct Leakage Diagnostic Test - ECC verification

The 2025 CEC alteration form identifies less than 25 feet as a possible exemption. More than 25 feet generally moves the alteration into the registered ECC path. Exactly 25 feet should be checked against the applicable code provision and approved compliance documents.

Roof replacement
CF1R-ALT-05-E - Prescriptive Residential Alterations - non-ECC Certificate of Compliance
CF1R-ALT-01-E - Prescriptive Residential Alterations - registered ECC Certificate of Compliance

The CF1R alteration form includes the roof replacement section. The energy-code roof provisions have specific applicability thresholds and exceptions.

Siding replacement
No standalone energy form is normally triggered by siding replacement alone. If wall insulation is added or altered, select Insulation.

CF1R = Certificate of Compliance; CF2R = Certificate of Installation; CF3R = Certificate of Verification. Projects requiring field verification and diagnostic testing must use documents registered through an approved ECC Provider. The approved CF1R identifies the required measures and verification.
